Prioritizing and Setting Limits—The Biblical Approach to Stress-Free Living
We’ve all heard the famous phrase, “Seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you.” I believe in this approach to holistic living. But what does “seeking first the kingdom of God” actually look like? To me, it means having priorities and setting boundaries.

Benefits of Having Priorities
When you have priorities, it becomes easier to make decisions because your values are already in place. This allows you to make choices that are aligned with your beliefs and will keep you from being pulled in different directions. It also helps with time management because if something isn’t a priority for you, then there is no need for it to take up space in your life or on your schedule. You can choose not to do something if it doesn't fit into your priorities or if you don't feel like it adds value to your life.

Benefits of Setting Limits
Setting limits is important because it keeps us from overcommitting or taking on too much at once. It also helps us stay focused on our goals and prevents us from getting overwhelmed by too many tasks or too much information. When we set limits, we create space for ourselves to breathe and think more clearly about our next steps. This can help us avoid burnout and maintain balance in our lives.

In conclusion, seeking first the kingdom of God means having priorities and setting boundaries so that we can live a stress-free life full of joy and peace. By doing this, we create more room for our relationships with others as well as with ourselves—which is imperative when managing chronic migraines as a stay at home mom with four kids! With prioritization and limit-setting techniques, each day can become an opportunity to focus on what matters most and bring us closer to the Kingdom of God that Jesus spoke about long ago. So take some time today to reflect on what matters most in your life—you won’t regret it!
